I completed my massage certification training at East West College of the Healing Arts. Additionally, I study Biodynamic Cranial therapy with Todd Jackson and Myofascial Release with Roxanne O'Hara. I am an avid lifelong student of Eastern philosophy and healing arts, and incorporate concepts of daoism, qigong, acupressure, and yoga into my massage and self-care practices.
Prior to becoming a massage therapist, I spent nearly a decade in corporate analytics and health insurance administration, as well as several formative years living and working in NE China. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Willamette University.
My healing philosophy is to meet every individual where they are. To witness without ego. To create and hold therapeutic, non-judgmental presence. To create safe spaces to allow the body's inner physician to emerge. To bring forth the tools that will support and empower the body, mind and spirit to embrace ease, light and health at its most authentic and highest potential.
Massage therapy is both an occupation and a spiritual and emotional practice for me. Throughout my own journey living with chronic depression and anxiety, massage has been a critical tool in reclaiming my sense of self, opening me to feel and heal through deep intense emotions, and empowering me to create a fully present life worth living. Through healing touch, I am able to more fully know myself, and I feel privileged to create healing space for others on their own journeys.
When I'm not working, I love to be in flow in nature -- walking through a forest, paddling or swimming in the river, or enjoying a book and coffee in the sunshine with my partner and our cuddly gray tabby cat.
